Markus — Good points. Sometimes transformations may be useful for analytical use cases and sometimes the operational schema is fine — but when transformations are executed we don’t need to extract / load (in ETL) because the same platform is used. With respect to hybrid OLTP and OLAP workloads, I know it sounds too good to be true but there is sufficient isolation between compute resources to do this now. In fact new benchmarks are used to measure this (HTAP). Our first HTAP benchmark was pretty good but stay tuned because the new one we are doing will blow away the old results.
